Things Remain The Same
Opening Prayer: Let us join together in prayer as we read and study certain verses in The Bible today rejoicing in what they mean to us as individuals and as part of the Body of Christ.
The below contains verses on what things remain
the same for us . Go over them one by one
with the children and talk about them.
Things Remain The Same
But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.-Psalm 102:27
For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.-Matthew 12:50
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:8
*** This is today's memory verse***
Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called. -1 Corinthians 7:20
That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: Ephesians 3:6
Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us
walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. Philippians 3:16

It is a new day in this New Year and it is with joy that Christians
can reflect upon are certain things that will always remain
the same --and those things are completely of God.
We are part of the same body of Christ and called with the same calling.
We humbly serve the same eternal Lord of Life.
We care and pray for one another with the same care and
are moved by the Spirit of God
to live in loving obedience by the same faith.
We trust and firmly believe in the same spiritual promises
given to us by the victory in Christ Jesus.
Let us rejoice in our faith brothers and sisters.
Let us give all honor and praise to our gracious God who has called
us His children and is still calling out to His children this day
that they may hear Him to turn to Him for comfort and guidance ,
for protection and strength, for love and healing ,
for forgiveness of wrongdoings and to help us shine
bright the true light of Christ unto others in need.
On this brand new day in the New Year, let us continue to give praise
for all the abundant blessings and promises which remain
the same always and provided to us only by our merciful Lord .
Activity
Suggested Activity For The Week :
Ask the children who in their lives they can give a
little extra care to in both prayer and in deed.
A parent , a friend , a neighbor?
Can they be more helpful with chores?
Maybe they can do some of the things that
are normally asked of them
without being asked.
Help with cleaning .
Cheer up someone with a hand made card
that needs a little extra tender loving care.
If there is time in your Sunday School class ,
maybe they can make that card today!
