Prepared

Opening Prayer:  Join together in a prayer of thanks for the promises of God that remain our treasure and our joy at all times.

Warm up Discussion questions:

1. What does it mean to prepare for something?
2. Are there times that you need to get ready for something?
3. Do you prepare what you wear differently depending on the weather?
4. Should a cook know how to prepare a meal?
5. Did you ever have to prepare certain things for a trip or an outing?
6. Did God prepare a garden for Adam and Eve? Talk about it and perhaps
    re-read a little bit of Genesis Chapter 1 to the children at this time.
7. Are you ready to learn more about the things God prepares?

Focus Verse:
1 Corinthians 2:9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered
 into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

1 Corinthians 2:5:10  Bible Reading
5That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
6Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world,
nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom,
which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they
 would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
 neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things,
 yea, the deep things of God.

Follow Up  Discussion:

Some of  the things God has prepared for us is mentioned in different places throughout
The Bible.

Read the following to the children:

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so,
I would have told you. I go to prepare
a place for you.  John 14:2

What do we learn from Jesus in this verse?

Titus 1:2
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie,
 promised before the world began;

What kind of life is promised to us by God  and when was this planned?

2 Timothy 1:9
Who hath saved us, and called us with an
holy calling, not according to our works, but according
to his own purpose and grace, which was given
us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Who has saved us according to his own purpose and grace and when was this planned?

James 1:12 Blessed is the man who perseveres
under trial, because when he has stood the test,
he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

 What promise of God is told to us in this verse to those who love Him?

THE CHURCH’S ONE FOUNDATION

The Church’s one foundation
Is Jesus Christ her Lord,
She is His new creation
By water and the Word.
From Heav’n He came and sought her
To be His holy bride;
With His own blood He bought her
And for her life He died.
She is from every nation,
Yet one o’er all the earth;
Her charter of salvation,
One Lord, one faith, one birth;
One holy name she blesses,
Partakes one holy food,
And to one hope she presses,
With every grace endued.

Prepared

In a place I have not yet seen,
Blessed souls have entered above
Heavenly choirs lift up their voices
In full praise to our Lord of Love.

Gathered round the throne of Jesus
Children kneel before The King
Who prepared a sanctuary
Where the faithful live to sing.

No more pain and no more tears
No more grief and no more fears
There's only joy and delight
In this realm of perfect Light.

Visions of peace etched in my mind
Spirit of Love has guided my way
No longer am I left behind
Forever in His keep , I stay .

In a place I have not yet seen,
Blessed souls have entered above
Heavenly choirs lift up their voices
In full praise to our Lord of Love.

John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again, and receive you unto myself;
that where I am, there ye may be also.

Close in prayer.
