“ A Servant’s Prayer ”
Dear God in heaven,
How I need you today
Be with me every moment
This, oh Lord, I pray
Protect my mind…
From harmful thoughts
Protect my heart…
From others’ fiery darts
Protect my body…
From harm unseen
Fill my spirit…
With your everlasting peace
Bridle my tongue
That I might not sin
Humble me, Lord
Again and again
Open my eyes
To other’s needs
Occupy my hands
With fruitful deeds
In all that I say
In all that I do
It is my most fervent prayer
That in me, they see you
Amen.
