“Late Start”

I had a "late start", Lord
I was not raised in a Christian home
I was not raised in the Christian way
Although, you sent an angel to guide my way
I had no one to help me stay
But you sent others...
To get me back on track
This time Lord, could you leave a map?
Is it truly "better late than never"?
Is it truly okay if I lost my way?
I had a late start, Lord
But this time I promise to stay
Help me, Lord
Hold my hand tight, I pray
Don't let go
For my spiritual life's at stake
And that is a chance
I don't wish to take.
