David C. Cook III was the last of a line of religious publishers
who followed the footsteps of Rev. Ezra Cook and established
the David C. Cook Publishing Company in Elgin, Illinois. A member
of the Eagle Scouts, David C. Cook was President of the Company
and Foundation. This work was his final manuscript, and on
the night before his death in April of 1990 he asked that it be
published on the Internet.
