The Lord our God Is One Lord

Opening Prayer: Join together in prayer asking the
 Lord for understanding when studying His Word this day.

Memory Verse:   And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments
 is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:  Mark 12:29

Hymntime :

FATHER, LEAD THY LITTLE CHILDREN

Father, lead Thy little children
Very early to Thy throne;
We will have no gods before Thee;
Thou art God, and Thou alone.

Refrain

Lead, O lead Thy little children
Very early to Thy throne;
We will have no gods before Thee;
Thou art God, and Thou alone.

In the Bible Thou hast taught us
All our thoughts to Thee are known;
Thou canst see us in the darkness;
Thou art God, and Thou alone.

Today's Bible Reading :

Mark 12 : 28-31
28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard
 them reasoning together, and perceiving that he
 had answered them well, asked him,
Which is the first commandment of all?

29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments
 is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:
 this is the first commandment.

31 And the second is like, namely this,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
There is none other commandment greater than these.

 Wisdom Whispers

Wisdom whispers to my mind
Commandments clear and true-
Love the Lord with all my might
And to share Christ's love with you.

Wisdom whispers to my heart
While I live from beat to beat
Made secure in the Lord's keep
For He woke me from my sleep.

Wisdom whispers to my soul
All the day and all the night
Echoing my Savior's name
Jesus Christ, my one true Light.

Psalm 49:3
My mouth shall speak of wisdom;
and the meditation of my heart shall
be of understanding.
