Moses was not permitted to go to the promised land, because of a mistake he had made in following the direction of God back there on the trail, He had not done specifically what the Lord instructed about bringing the water to the people ,like the Lord had instructed, he had done it in anger, now love, so he had disobeyed God, for this, he did get to go into the promised land with his group. But God did take Moses up on a high mountain and it was there, from up on the mountain top, there the Lord pointed the promised land out to Moses, out to him,
so He 'seen' it from afar.
------------
Moses died of an old age and God himself buried him, therefore none knows the exact spot, which remains his resting place, even to this day,

After Moses died, as faithful servant of the Lord,
it came to pass, that the Lord
spoke to Joshua ,son of Nun,
Moses' minister, He told him

"Moses is dead; now.... you,
go over the Jordan, you, and my people,
go to the land, which I have give to you,
even to every child of Israel.
Every place, your foot shall walk on,
I give that place to you,
Just as I told Moses,
I would do,
in the wilderness and this Lebanon,
even the great river,
Euphrates," He Continues,:

"The land of the Hittites,
plumb to the sea, the sunset,
will be 'your' coast.
No man will ever be able to stop you,
all the days of your life:"
as I Said to Moses,
"I will be with you:
I will never fail nor'
I will never forsake you. now,
Be strong and courageous.
now between my people shall this land
be equally divide, for your inheritance,
the land.
I promised it to your fathers,
to give to them....Your God
will never break His promises "

Be strong and courageous,
so you can see to do according to the law,
which Moses, my servant commanded you to do,
Now, not left or right of it,
but do the law, so you may have riches,
whereever you go, follow the Book.
Tell the people, saying,
” 'Prepare food for three days;
pass over the Jordan, go! ...take your land,
which the Lord your God gives to you .....
possess it.! "

the Reubenites, the Gadites,
and to half the tribe of Manasseh,
spoke Joshua, saying,

"The LORD your God hath given you rest,
and hath given you... this land.”
they picked up the ark of the covenant,
and then came to the water's edge,
Solemn priests now carrying the ark of the covenant,
to the edge of the water, then into it.
(the Jordan usually is overflowing it's banks,
as it is the time of harvest, and prone for flood. )

The waters flows down
toward them from above.
now the water, suddenly stop,
They 'stand' at attention, as if in pride,
The banked up waters,
salute these determined people
Who had once been slaves to man,
far from the Egyptian cities.

The people pass over against Jericho.
across the Jordan, in determination.
the priests carrying the ark of the Lord,
stood firm on dry land,
out in the middle of the Jordan.
The Hebrew children,
pass over on completely dry ground,
to the other side, they cheer,
in their praises to God.
As they step from the dry riverbed,
then singing bravely, they almost march,
walking onward, into their promised land.-----------
