JESUS…My Friend
Yesterday The Holy Spirit blessed me so much as I thought about what a friend JESUS is. I was so wonderfully overwhelmed at the thought that The King of Glory wants to be my friend. He wants to be your friend too. There is no friend like JESUS. I pray that you will be blessed by these scriptures as you read. What a friend we have in JESUS.

I sit down to write because I’ve been thinking about how JESUS calls we who have believed upon HIM and accepted Him, obeying His commands….He calls us HIS friends.
John 15:14 “Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.”
What an honor that is…the greatest honor bestowed upon us and just what a friend JESUS is...A True Best Friend...my heart is wonderfully overwhelmed when I ponder it.. THE KING OF GLORY...willing to be our friend...closer than anyone else could ever be...to me...a mere human...so unworthy on my own. Praise HIS name...HE is wonderful, He is lovely...There is none like HIM.
Proverbs 18:24 “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly; and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.”
Oh what love...we can't even imagine...I'm so thankful for my Best Friend...His name is JESUS...oh how I love HIM...to know HIM is to love HIM...
1 John 3:1 “Behold, what manner of love The FATHER hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of GOD: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not.”
With JESUS, we never have to worry about anything. He takes care of us.
Matthew 6:31-33 “Therefore take no though, saying, what shall we eat? Or, What shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek: ) for your Heavenly FATHER knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of GOD, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
We never have to worry about HIM ever leaving us...because HE promised HE would never leave or forsake His children.
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
We never have to worry about ourselves, because in HIS hands. We are safe, anything HE allows to happen to me, He promised HE would work out for our good.
Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love GOD, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.”
We don't have to worry about our souls because we who have believed and accepted JESUS...He will carry us Home to Heaven one day when we have done all we are supposed to do here.
John 3:16 “For GOD so loved the world, that HE gave HIS only begotten SON, that whosever believeth in HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 14:1-3 “Let not your hearts be troubled: ye believe in GOD, believe also in Me. In My FATHER’S house are many mansions: If it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
We don't have to worry that He will tell anyone our deepest secrets...HE knows everything and we can tell HIM everything...and HE never tells.
Psalm 44:21 “Shall not GOD search this out? For HE knoweth the secrets of the heart.”
2 Samuel 22:31 “As for GOD, HIS way is perfect; the Word of The LORD is tried: HE is a buckler to all them that trust HIM.”
Psalm 9:10 And they that know Thy Name will put their trust in Thee: for Thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek THEE.”
We don't have to worry about our need...because JESUS said HE would supply all our need according to HIS riches in glory...if HE doesn't give us something...then we don't need it!
Philippians 4:19 “But my GOD shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in Glory by CHRIST JESUS.”
We can always go to HIM, and HE will always be there to listen.
Hebrews 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly unto The Throne of Grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find Grace to help in time of need.”
We never have to worry about not being worthy...because HE loves us just the way we are. We can always be ourselves with The LORD.
Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, saith The LORD: Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Romans 8:35-39 “Who shall separate us from the Love of CHRIST? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the LOVE of GOD, which is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD.”
He is always with us. When we are sad...HE is with us...when we’re happy...HE is there...when we are confused...He understands...when we need answers...He teaches us...His Holy Spirit lives inside each believer’s heart and helps us everyday with everything we need to do.
Psalm 139:1-10 “O LORD, Thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, Thou undstandest my though afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, Thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid Thine Hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Whither shall I go from Thy Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from Thy PRESENCE? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, Thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall Thy Hand lead me, and Thy right Hand shall hold me.”
He is there when we close our eyes at night to sleep and He greets us every morning when we wake up. And while we sleeping...HE watches over us.
Psalm 4:8 “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for Thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.”
What a friend we have in JESUS.
John 15:13 “Greater Love hath no man than this, that a Man lay down His life for His friends.”
If you haven't accepted HIM into your heart yet as LORD and Savior, if you have not made HIM your friend…you can...seek HIM and you will find HIM...He will be your best friend too...HE is JESUS...HE IS EVERYTHING! ♥ ♥ ♥
Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you:
Romans 10:9-13 “That if thou shall confess with thy mouth The LORD JESUS, and shalt believe in thine heart that GOD hath raised HIM from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on HIM shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same LORD over all is rich unto all that call upon HIM. For whosoever shall call upon the name of The LORD shall be saved.”
Lamentations 3:22-24 “It is of The LORD’S Mercies that we are not consumed, because HIS compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul, therefore will I hope in HIM!”
Dear Heavenly FATHER…
We bow down before You again once more thanking You and worshipping You for who You are! You are The GOD! All powerful. There is none like YOU! Thank You for being our Friend. The true Friend. Thank You for all Your promises. LORD we don’t deserve You but we are so thankful that You love us anyway. It shows just how lovely You are! Help us to love You the way You deserve to be loved and help us to be True friends to You…loving and obeying Your Word. Please deal with the hearts of those who have not yet accepted You, help them to realize how much they need You and that life without You is nothing and meaningless. Thank You for saving us and teaching and guiding us. Great is Your faithfulness…In Your name JESUS we pray…Amen.
